Our thanks go to Alexey M, dreamwa1ker (Pattern Clarc), David L and Michael S who submitted the original designs in the Deviant Art 'Design a Starship' competition. New art assets have been created for the Oracle, Tornado, Naga and Talos. Further details can be found in the blog Asking for directions by CCP Mannapi. Actual stars from neighboring solar systems will be displayed and the newly rotated stargates will aim at them, making them visible if they are close enough. Star fields have been greatly enhanced to provide a more immersive feeling of being in space. The system map background nebula has been replaced with a darker more sci-fi background.

You can read full details about these changes in the blog Introducing new nebulae into Eve by CCP torfifrans. Players should be aware that due to the alignment of stargates that instawarp locations, or locations created close to an object at a stargate may now cause bumping into that object. As a result of these new vistas, we have adjusted every stargate on Tranquility to align correctly to their destinations allowing for players to experience a graceful transition while piloting. New nebulas throughout space will now provide players with a feeling of real immersion and allow for a better sense of scale and location in the universe.

Stunning new visuals have been added to Eve Online. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause to saved windows. Window settings on Tranquility have been reset as part of the changes to UI and UI scaling. Should you notice any unusual behavior, we would appreciate if you could send a detailed bug report. We will be monitoring the overview settings during extreme scenarios, such as a massive fleet engagement, tensure that the overview will display properly in all cases. Further details on the Cerberus project can be found in the blog Introducing Cerberus by CCP Shiny and CCP Ronin. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, a small part of the UI, as well as content that has been developed by the feature teams for this release, will be in English for the German and Russian client on the initial launch date. As part of the migration of the Cerberus localization tool we have had to re-translate the entire UI, Notifications and Messages in-game.The full, exhausting list of Crucible changes is below.

Updating Eve Online from Incarna version 1.1.3 to Crucible requires a 1.2GB download if using Windows, and a 1.6GB download if using Mac. The full download client is 5GB for Windows. This camera mode fixes the camera behind your ship. The Eve Online winter expansion, Crucible, will be released tomorrow - Tuesday, 29th November. The tactical camera contains none of the cinematic flourishes of the orbital camera mode. You can zoom with the mouse wheel as with the orbital camera, but when zooming in the camera will move to your cursor. You can re-attach the camera to an object through the "Look at" command. This camera mode is initially fixed to an object like the orbital camera, but can be detached by holding down the right mouse button ( RMB), at which point it will rotate around a fixed point in space. The orbital camera has a few flourishes to make the game more cinematic, such as a slow drift, and an exponential zoom. You can also keep the camera facing a moving object by tracking it (press C or use the right-click menu on the object). Pressing SHIFT+ C toggles the tracking camera, which (when active) will point your camera towards an object when you select it (e.g. You can zoom in an out using the mouse wheel. To attach the camera to a different object, select it and click "Look at" (either through the radial menu, the right-click menu, or by ALT-clicking it). Selecting an object in space (with the LMB) rotates the camera so that it's facing that object. The camera is centered on your ship, and you can rotate around it by holding down the left mouse button ( LMB) and moving your mouse.
